Road accidents are more likely among older drivers.Older motorists make more driving mistakes on the road due to slower reflexes and poor vision, according to a study published by the American Psychological Association.
The research found that aging leads to a decline in brain function, which can affect peoples’ ability to drive and focus on the road ahead. Many elderly motorists fail to make the quick decisions needed to avoid pedestrians and other vehicles. Seniors also fail to check blind spots and some suffer with vision problems. Read more
