Amplifiers for seniors with hearing difficulties have been donated to Mercer County Nursing Home and the Aledo Health and Rehabilitation Center by the Aledo Police Benevolent Association.
The organisation picks a project that will help senior citizens every March and decided to provide the amplification systems to help residents and facility users carry out their day to day activities.
A $750,000 grant to build a 75-bed nursing home in Hoopeston, Illinois has been awarded to the city by The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
The project will cost $1,088,908 in total – the rest of the money will come from Hoopeston’s tax increment financing funds and depreciation funds. Read more
