Senior Center to provide residence to more people

May 4, 2011 by , filed under: Assisted Living

The South Hill Residential Senior Retirement Community situated in Orange County in New York has gained permission from New York state department of health to provide residence to those people who are unable to walk or use a wheelchair without the help of an assistant.

Previously the services of the facility were confined to those people who can perform tasks without any assistance and the enhanced residence certification will lead to a massive increase in the number of residents that the facility can take.

For this purpose the facility has already extended and created a new 32-bed building with a separate dining area and garden. The center believes that it will enhance the level of care received by those residents who are prone to injuries and they have also ensured 24-hour monitoring of patients by highly-skilled nurses.
