The DuPage Senior Citizens Council (DSCC)is urging Illinois residents to sign up to volunteer for senior citizen chore day.
The non-profit organization runs the charity event twice a year during the first three weekends in November and May.
This month community volunteers will carry out yard work at the homes of local seniors such as raking leavings, mowing the grass and trimming hedges.
The Council is searching for volunteers in Lombard and Villa Park in particular.
